L\u2019histoire de la Tangueria d\u00e9bute en 1991 avec l\u2019ouverture d\u2019un studio de tango
\nsur le boulevard Saint-Laurent \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n

En 1993, le Studio change de nom pour la Tangueria et, en peu de temps,
\ndevient un endroit culte incontournable de tango \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n

En novembre 1993, la Tangueria fonde la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 culturelle argentine Qu\u00e9bec-Canada (SCAQC), organisme \u00e0 but non lucratif qui a comme mandat de promouvoir l\u2019expression, le d\u00e9veloppement et la diffusion du tango argentin sous ses diff\u00e9rentes formes (danse, chant, musique), ainsi que de promouvoir la culture argentine en contribuant
\nau rapprochement des communaut\u00e9s latino-am\u00e9ricaine,
\nargentine, qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise et canadienne.<\/p>\n

De 1994 \u00e0 novembre 2004, la Tangueria a organis\u00e9, pour la SCAQC, un grand nombre d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements et a produit des centaines de spectacles de danse et de musique, notamment Djelem, L\u2019Ensemble Montr\u00e9al Tango, Fleur de Tango, Tango Vivo, Jacques Saint-Cyr & Michel B\u00e9lair, Kety Lozano, Bagg Street Klezmer Band, Didier Dumoutier & son orchestre, Lhasa de Sela, Jos\u00e9-Maria Gianelli & Victor Sanchez, Angelo Cherry, Raul Jaurena du New York Buenos Aires Connection, Ildo Patriarca, Mecha Gomez, Ballet Folklore de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Buenos Aires, Nestor Vaz & Julio Cobelli, Trio Pantango, Salamanca ainsi que Les Journ\u00e9es de Tango contre le racisme de 2001, 2002 et 2003.\u00a0De 2004 \u00e0 aujourd\u2019hui, la Tangueria a \u00e9t\u00e9 et est encore un lieu dynamique pour le tango argentin ainsi qu\u2019elle offre r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des activit\u00e9s li\u00e9es au tango et \u00e0 la culture argentine. La Tangueria a d\u2019ailleurs organis\u00e9 plusieurs ateliers et causeries avec les plus grands noms du tango argentin tels que Pepito Avellaneda & Suzuki Avellaneda, Suzana Miller, Jorge Torres, Andre Miss\u00e9 & Leandro Palou, Sebastien Miss\u00e9 & Andrea Reyero, Wouter Brave & Babette Anhalt, Florencia Tacetti & Julio Mendez, Brooke Burdett, Elina Roldan, Esteban Moreno & Claudia Codega,

La Tangueria a form\u00e9 des milliers de personnes au tango argentin et demeure l\u2019un des principaux acteurs sur la sc\u00e8ne du tango \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al. Elle est aussi l\u2019une des plus anciennes \u00e9coles et salles de danse de tango argentin en Am\u00e9rique du Nord. De plus, la Tangueria participe \u00e0 la vie communautaire de quartiers lors de la F\u00eate nationale, de festivals ou d\u2019autres \u00e9v\u00e9nements culturels, et s\u2019engage dans des causes sociales.<\/p>\n

About us\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Tangueria started off in 1991 with the opening
\nof a tango studio on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal.<\/p>\n

In 1993, the Studio changed its name to the Tangueria and in no time
\nbecame the Mecca and a must for tango in Montreal.<\/p>\n

In November 1993, the Tangueria founded the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 culturelle argentine Qu\u00e9bec-Canada (SCAQC) — (Quebec-Canada Argentinian Cultural Company), a non-profit organization whose mandate was to promote the expression, the development and the knowledge of Argentinian tango in its various forms (dance, singing, music), as well as to promote the Argentinian culture by contributing to bringing together the Latino-American,
\nArgentinian, Quebec and Canadian communities.<\/p>\n

Between 1994 and November 2004, the Tangueria organized a great number of events and produced hunderds of shows and concerts for the SCAQC, such as Djelem, L\u2019Ensemble Montr\u00e9al Tango, Fleur de Tango, Tango Vivo, Jacques Saint-Cyr & Michel B\u00e9lair, Kety Lozano, Bagg Street Klezmer Band, Didier Dumoutier & his orchestra, Lhasa de Sela, Jos\u00e9-Maria Gianelli & Victor Sanchez, Angelo Cherry, Raul Jaurena of The New York Buenos Aires Connection, Ildo Patriarca, Mecha Gomez, Folklore Ballet of Buenos Aires University, Nestor Vaz & Julio Cobelli, Trio Pantango, Salamanca, as well as\u00a0Les Journ\u00e9es de Tango
\ncontre le racisme (Tango Against Racism) 2001, 2002 and 2003.<\/p>\n

From 2004 till today, the Tangueria has been and still is a dynamic venue for Argentinian tango and regularly offers activities related to tango and the Argentinian culture. The Tangueria organized many workshops and lectures with some of the greatest Argentinian tango masters, namely Pepito Avellaneda & Suzuki Avellaneda, Suzana Miller, Jorge Torres, Andre Miss\u00e9 & Leandro Palou, Sebastien Miss\u00e9 & Andrea Reyero,
\nWouter Brave & Babette Anhalt, Florencia Tacetti & Julio Mendez,
\nBrooke Burdett, Elina Roldan,\u00a0Esteban Moreno & Claudia Codega,
\nPablo Inza & Veronica Albarenga, Maria Cieri.<\/p>\n

The Tangueria trained thousands of people to Argentinian tango and remains one of the major actors in the Montreal tango scene. It is also one of the oldest tango dance schools and halls in North America. Furthermore, the Tangueria participates in the community life of neighbourhoods during National Holidays, Festivals
\nor other cultural events,\u00a0and is involved in social causes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
